Agreed.

I hope you're being sarcastic as that's not going to happen. If you're being serious then then you shouldn't be as we weren't entitled to the Ambassador games on the 3DS but we still got them and we certainly aren't entitled to them on the Wii U. I'm not saying it would not be nice but its something no one should expect.

I was being serious. I expect a price drop after a year and a half but not 6 months. I will wait a good year or so from now on.

You got your "Ambassador Program".

It's called getting the system before everyone else does and 7 Virtual Console titles on the eShop for 30 cent each.

You could have saved $40 if you bought them, which is almost the amount of the price cut. Stop whining.

I forgot about the VC games. I submit.

What the Wii U needs is games, not 20 old ones.

I didn't really expect one. I mean if all consoles gave an ambassador Program when they do a price drop, I would have 100 free games.

That would be a good idea.  How could it hurt to give away some old games?

If you connected your 3DS to the eshop before it's initial price cut, you were considered an Ambassador, and were given 10 NES games before they hit the eshop and 10 GBA games. People are hoping that because the Wii U also had a price drop, they would get similar treatment.

It's because the amount of the drop in the timespan doesn't warrent anything. Not to mention you got access to the 30 cent promotion if you bought it earlier.

Well, the ambassador programme was needed, I know for sure I felt ripped off about the 3DS after the price dropped. I do not feel ripped off at all with the price I paid for the Wii U, it means I got 10 months of being in a (kind of) exclusive club for £50, what's wrong with that?

The more I've thought about this I still say yes. Let's say 25 dollar eshop credit. 25 dollars should get you two of the top indie games on the eshop. I just feel with what was promised(we learned from 3ds mistake), their seemingly lack of caring(no marketing when they should have been), and lack of games I think they should give us that. Just to say thank you for putting faith in us as a company we have let you down we failed with Wii U launch miserably and we want to give you a gift for being loyal.

Why?
you knew what games were coming out and you decided to pay 200 of your American Great British Pounds on it. Or whatever.

You made the decision to rip yourself off is that what you're saying?
Or are you saying that the company deciding to lower the price of their device later on than you bought it is them ripping you off 6 months or however long before?

I just feel a little bad for those who bought in June-Aug.- especially those in Aug.  Granted, the numbers were so terrible, you are talking about less than 50k, if that if you are talking on a monthly basis.

I'm saying that with the lack of games (I only had 3 since it launched up until October of the same year), the price seemed steep while the Wii U's price did not seem steep and still doesn't.

The fact that they were so quick to drop the price also made me feel ripped off, and by how much they dropped the price.

You shouldn't have bought it if you thought it didn't have enough games to justify the price.

What were you expecting then? A $2 price cut after 5 year in the market? The Ambassador Program was an exception, this is a completly different situation. You can't just buy a console expecting to have free games after 10 months.

I know the Ambassador programme was an exception, heck, I've even said I don't care that the Wii U won't have one. All I was saying was that I bought the 3DS at launch, it was expensive (perhaps too expensive), and the ambassador games were very nice because I felt annoyed at the large price cut the 3DS received in such a short space of time.

Many times in the past (not necessarily on this site) I have argued that the ambassador programme was a very nice bonus/ exception and that we didn't need one (I know that I posted we needed one for the 3DS - I was wrong to say that).

I never said I expect an ambassador programme for the Wii U.

You shouldn't have bought it if you thought it didn't have enough games to justify the price.

There were at launch, just not in the many months following (delays and the such).

Its absolutely laughable for people to think they are entitled to free games just because the price has dropped so soon. Those people should wait in future for the inevitable price drop rather then buying early and whining and complaining when they don't get free games as a result. The ambassador program on the 3DS was a nice bonus but that's all it was. It wasn't an entitlement.
