Other games will use the same amiibos as well, which multiplies the value depending on the amount of games they'll work in. Also, other games will use it differently. Perhaps others will make them mandatory ala Disney Infinity/skylanders.

 

I'm really not a fan of the Skylanders and Disney Infinity things and this is the same thing so I'll pass on it. Just seems like an unnecessary gimmick to me and one that I can't see myself spending money on.

Well since I was already asking that I just looked it up now:

 

"In the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U game, you'll be able to scan your amiibo into the game. You'll then be able to fight against your amiibo, team up with it in battle or watch it battle other in-game characters. Your amiibo will be able to increase its attack and defense stats and even learn new fighting tactics."

I am getting 4 characters but not using them for the game. I want to use them as display figures on my gaming shelf. Cheaper than Figma.

It's to make the pose more dynamic. Normal walking isn't exactly the most action filled pose.

No, they didnt. That is the opposite of dynamic, and I dont think you even really believe what you said yourself. They just lazily used the same poor pose from the smash for 3ds/wii u render character screen.

I organized my office this weekend and added a bookcase. I've got the room to display these puppies and will be ordering them all.

If someone wants to see a bad Samus figure should have seen the one that came out in 2002. I used to have this thing til I sold it couple years ago. I sold it for obvious reasons and the worst part it is new it was like $30 and now it can sell between 60-250 buck depending on condition and loose or sealed.

lol it was 8-9 inches tall and looked like a Happy Meal Toy. Sure was posable but didn't help much.

 

If 3Dude is really after a Samus figure then go after a Figma

So as a Nintendo fan I personally hope these do very well. I personally will not be buying any as IMO they are a waste of my money. I do (this is nothing against you OP) feel like people hype up anything thing too much that might impact Wii U sales. I mean it seems as if Wii U is doing better than last year this time but come on. these Amiibos are only going to be a hit if they can help move WiiU units. My question to you guys is will these things help sale Wii U's?????
