Microsoft has unveiled MyAchievements, a new program that will reward you for your Gamerscore. Available to Xbox LIVE Gold members, MyAchievements is broken into three levels — Contender, Champion, or Legend — based on your Gamerscore; the higher your score, the larger the reward. Link if you didn't figure out the picture sent you to the site.

The levels are as follows:
  • Contender: 3,000-9,000 Gamerscore
  • Champion: 10,000-24,999 Gamerscore
  • Legend: 25,000+ Gamerscore

Each tier offers a "special gift" during your birthday month; Champion tier adds a 1% rebate on your Xbox LIVE Marketplace purchases every month, and the Legend tier bumps the rebate up to 2%. The bottom of the site also mentions the Birthday Gift has an Approximate Retail Value of $0.25 USD.

What are your thoughts on MyAchievements?

What do I think?

I think it's not that much different from having no rewards at all. 1% and 2% rebates? Really? How ever will Microsoft stay in business with those savings?

2% on a 800 Microsoft point game...I get a whopping 16 points back. I could buy, like...uh...

...

...

16 Microsoft points.

Well, it is based on gamerscore.

I doubt they could make the bonuses that grand without thinking they are giving away free stuff.

Free stuff is always good. Just don't make it seem like it's so amazing whenever in reality, it's so little it's like it never existed in the first place.

didn't catch that but all in all it still goes to show how people will complain about anything.

I guarantee if Nintendo had this kind of system they wouldn't get any complaints.

No rewards for the no-lifers like me who have 100,000+ gamerscore?

Weak, Microsoft.

Well, it's not like they were gonna greatly reward people for spending unhealthy amounts of time on their 360.

Otherwise they'd be up there with Maccas and KFC.
