Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Well yes. The 8GB version is for people that want to use their own HDD.

I have sold my Wii U, so if I deleted you from NN before I sold it, or haven't accepted your friend request since, this is why.

It's for a reason that was stated above in a post. If you have the deluxe version, I see no problem with this.

I think people are confusing OS with day 1 update. The OS is 4GB. The day 1 update will take an amount of space we don't know.

I bought the deluxe but I also have an external 2TB USB drive that I'll be using. I don't imagine I'll ever be able to fill it though (I've got all my emulators/roms on it as well).

yeah keep in mind that if you like a specific game you might buy dlcs for it, and all that plus, demos apps and wii u system udpates, and entire digital titles are going directly to the console HDD

in a near future you would like to purchase a 500GB external HDD for 50 or 60 bucks, the average cost of a game, is not that expensive for all the storage it offers

From what I understand is you can't partition it and the Wii U makes you format the drive the first time you connect it.

You're gonna want to move those to your computer because the Wii U is going to format them in order for it to work.

I do wish we knew how big the update is though...I use 4G mobile broadband (cellular internet) and my data limit is 10gb a month which lasts me pretty much a whole month. I've been trying to limit my usage as much as possible this month since they announced their was a day one update for all the internet stuff, but I'm still a little over 50% used right now. Oh well, I'm prepaid anyways so I can't go over my limit it just asks to add more money to start my plan over which would be fine as the Wii U comes out pretty much with 1 week left in my month.

Yoshinin - OS means Operating System. For example, I assume you use Windows on your computer. That's an OS.

The OS takes up 4gb, we don't know how big the update is yet.
