Are you serious? Was the Wii discontinued because the 360 and PS3 were much more powerful? Use your head. Why would that change now?

I was never a fan of those Mario and Sonic Olympic games, but obviously the PS4 will make everyone forget about it. As for Mario 3D World and Zelda, they'll be taking a backseat for me for the Xbox One. I still want to get them. I don't get the whole "destroying" thing, but okay. People take games too seriously these days, it's not even about fun anymore. It's all about crushing the competition.

Yay, just what we needed! More ports! I mean, who needs new experiences when Nintendo can bank off nostalgia? Hopefully this remains a rumor. Then again, I don't even buy virtual classics anyway.
I thought Wind Waker HD was well worth the $50
Not everyone is happy with paying almost full price of a brand new game for a port of an 11-12 year old game.

I of course set up rules that they obey, but I also want them their selves to measure and handle their own play time to make them conscientious about how much time they spend on gaming...
No, I do not have kids. I have no patience for them. My husband and I also agreed we don't want any. However, I don't need kids to express my opinion. I speak from how I was raised and observing how my family raises their children. They do actual parenting and don't rely on outside sources to help them. That's how I believe it should be done. If you need help, then I guess I can't change your view on things. You posted this on a public forum, so you have to expect to see different sides of the same argument.

Honestly, the only thing the Wii U version has over the 3DS version is the fact that you can mic chat with people while playing online. The game has less bugs and surprisingly looks better on the 3DS. Oh, and I have both. I prefer the controls on the 3DS, even without the circle pad pro.

I've seen nothing to suggest that there's any plan of getting veterans out of the way first. =/
The only logic I see in the character reveals is related to advertising of games releasing (Toon Link being revealed right alongside Wind Waker HD), or for special events (like Luigi being revealed because it's their "Year of Luigi").
I'm just afraid they really don't have many new characters to announce. However, I'm very anxious to see what Pokemon/Pokemon character they announce if this pattern stays true and they want to reveal one alongside the release of X/Y.
Of course they're going to announce characters as their respective games come out. Like you said, it's to advertise the games being released. However, there is still plenty of time for them to announce the entire roster of characters. The date isn't set in stone, the game can be delayed, which is actually what I expect to happen. You know how companies are when it comes the the quality of their system selling franchises.

For me, that'd be Nintendo. Sony only has one franchise that I'm interested in, and the rest I don't care for.
