Ours is standing up since there was no space for it to lay down between the 360 and PS3. I do fear that it will mess with the disc drive in the future though so I am trying to find another way to accommodate it as to lay it down flat. It can't be sheer coincidence that all of our vertically standing systems have died on us.

Laying down flat since i have a feeling that the disk will get damaged from the console being on its side.

I stand mine up. As far as I'm concerned, I paid for it - part of the price of the Deluxe was probably that stand.

That's hardly a logical or sensible reason to stand it up. You should stand it up because that's the way you want it not because of some cheap bits of plastic included with the system which probably cost like 10 cents to make.

Well I am limited in space as well so for now mine is standing up as is my PS3 I have enough room to allow my Xbox 360 to lay flat for now. I guess I'll have to re arrange some things and come up with some sort of Video Game Console Storage space!! Thanks for all your replies everyone

standing proud because i have the nice little stand and i have no reason to lay it down.

You know after seeing a Wii U standing vertically it looked cool, particularly the black model. I might stand mine up (when I get one) to save space so it can sit nicely right next to my HDTV.
