If this is true, then this is a very bad thing for Nintendo. Basically, if you buy a used Wii U system, you can get free games from the eshop. The original source comes from Neogaf, so there's a decent chance this rumor is false.

The account still has to be existing, just like Noonabites said, but the game(s) would probably still be downloaded on the Wii U anyways, so it's more like passing the game(s) down to the new owner.

Nintendo is doomed! They are pretty much giving games away here! There console is so weak. It is only on par with the PS3. The launch games look barely as good as the PS3, a system that developers have gotten used too.

Nintendo already said they are going to fix the Nintendo ID system so It's not console tied. If this is true, I don't see what the huge deal is anyways. It would be No different from buying a system off eBay r Craigslist that comes with games. The person who buys it wouldn't be getting the games for free, they were bought at some point. The person who sold or traded on can't get them back either if he never deleted the user. Plus most people usually wipe a new system clean and make new users anyways without thinking about it.
