#242310 Nintendo announces 2DS?

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 28 August 2013 - 01:23 PM

I don't think it has a target audience

I assumed it was for kids too young for the 3D feature; those who can't see the 3D feature, or it just makes them sick; or those who couldn't afford a normal 3DS but still want to get their hands on Pokemon X/Y

#231785 Super Smash Bros. U/3ds "Pokemon trainer" X/Y or B/W?

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 15 July 2013 - 11:02 AM

Greetings! There is this one character I've been so curious about that has changed through time... The Pokemon trainer. This guy was in SSBB. So I guess he may come back, he was a great character... If he comes back to SSBU/3DS. Would you guys think he will be from X/Y or from Black and White? I personally think he will be from B/W because X/Y has character customization, so its pretty much the B/W or the default character from X/Y

Judging by the fact that Pokemon X/Y  will be out significantly before Super Smash Bros U/3DS, my money is on the X/Y  trainer.

#230855 A realistic new direction Nintendo should think about.

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 11 July 2013 - 04:45 PM

Nintendo just needs to put clear advertisements on shows like American Idol and Family Guy to get the public aware: "This is the the Wii U, the latest console by Nintendo [...] play your games in stunning 1080p, or on the GamePad [...] play favorites from the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, and more from the Virtual Console [...] watch your favorite TV shows and movies on services like Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video [...].", maybe replace Nintendo Land  with Game & Wario (it makes much better use of the GamePad in my opinion); only then will the system sell.

#230037 EA: "Wii U is a Box that’s out of sync for EA’s online future"

This translates to "There is nothing wrong with the Wii U hardware, and we could make any game for it; we just don't like it.".

#229716 Xbox One Is the New Sega Saturn?

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 07 July 2013 - 02:49 PM

•Both are big, hulking, black machines (at least bigger than their competition)

•Both by companies that had successful machines this/last gen

•Both predecessor consoles have less-than-stellar add-ons

•Both are $100 more than their main competitor

•Both have fumbled pre-release announcements and decisions

•Both have their main competitors destined for greatness (or at least massive popularity)

Segata Sanshiro won't be here to save you, Xbone.

#226100 What if in a few years Nintendo made a Wii U RAM Expansion Pak?

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 25 June 2013 - 05:11 PM

Yes, we totally need a new 32X to keep up with the "big boys" *sarcasm*. Anyway, I can't see the big N doing something so controversial and saying "The Wii U is weaker than a starving cat, so we're shoving this thing up its backside!".

#224378 Xbox one will not require internet acces. and will alow used games.

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 19 June 2013 - 08:42 PM

I imagine after the metric tons of negative press, Microsoft really had no choice but to ease off restrictions. And on another note, when they say "The Kinect won't send or record any information without your explicit permission", said "explicit permission" will be in the Xbox Live user agreement.

#219949 Metroid or Donkey Kong Country Was a Hard Decision- Retro

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 11 June 2013 - 05:30 PM

While I would prefer a new Starfox title, the new DK games looks really fun. And is it just me, or does  "Tropical Freeze" sound like some $58 rum cocktail they'd sell in Honolulu resort?

#216747 Is the wii u THAT underpowered?

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 06 June 2013 - 04:41 PM

I showed my friend Nano Assault Neo, and he said I mus have a good gaming rig (note: my PC is terrible). When people think your console looks like a good gaming PC, you know you're no slouch in the power department.

#216307 Nintendo Patents Voice Commands

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 05 June 2013 - 05:25 PM

I could see this being used in the next Mario Party (I recall some of the Gamecube ones using a microphone). Didn't NintenDogs use some kind of voice command system to interact with your pet (i.e "Fetch!" "Sit!" "Roll over!" etc.)?

#215747 Nintendo denies Wii U basic recall rumor

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 04 June 2013 - 04:59 PM

Just shows how poorly Nintendo thought about the Wii U.  People were more willing to pay a bit more and buy the Deluxe model.  I personally would have preferred to pay and extra $50 to get a more powerful console, at least 3rd party developers would be more willing to port their games to the Wii U.  But excuses can be made for everything wrong that they do, because they can't do anything wrong and the "shining Nintendo knights"  will be out in force flaming me for stating my own personal opinion.

What do you expect on a fourm of dedicated Nintendo fans? Have fun with your Airstrip One though!

#215337 Summer Update!

An achievement/trophy/accomplishment system similar to those on Xbox Live and Steam. Cross-game chat would also be really cool.

#214801 Wii mode upscaling

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 02 June 2013 - 02:38 PM

It looks somewhat ugly on my TV (32" 720p): the icons and text are readable, but the models are pixellated and the textures look a bit worse than they do in SD; because I have the screen zoomed out so I can see the full picture (I know they fixed the overscan issue, but it's never really been an issue for me), Wii games are letterboxed as well. Wii U graphics and games are simply beautiful, however.

#214323 Why people say Wii U is "current gen", and why they're complete d...

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 01 June 2013 - 02:05 PM

These people claimed that the Wii was weaker than the original Xbox, and still called the Wii next-gen; The Wii U is clearly better than any current consoles and yet they're trying to tell us that it's on the same level (if not lower than) the PS360. The Wii U uses PowerPC architecture (like current machines), but meaty enough to be competitive with x86 machines on the horizon. They take that the PowerPC guts means it's weak, but in reality it produces sufficiently similar results in a different manner (sadly, this'll screw us over with 3rd parties who can't be bothered with actual porting). They say that because the Wii U cannot play Blu-Ray discs, it's last-gen compared to the PS3. The Wii U uses modified Blu-Rays (or at least Blu-Ray capacity discs) that read differently as a form of copy protection (and don't most of already have at least 3 things that can play Blu-Rays, or even have On-Demand?). And using the "it came earlier than the others" argument would mean that the Dreamcast would be with the PSone and N64 (an idea that'll get you laughed out of the room anywhere, any day of the week). I say we let them have their repetitive SBPBF (Shoot brown people because freedom) games (they say Nintendo is repetitive? Super Mario Sunshine has more variety than the entire CoD franchise!) while we enjoy actual innovation!

#213576 Sonic Lost World different features for Wii U & 3DS

Posted by TheDoritoKing on 30 May 2013 - 08:04 PM

My money is tight at the moment, I'm getting Generations for 3DS so I will be getting this for my Wii U, my Wii U needs some Sonic love too and I can't afford all 3, I got Pokemon X and Watch_Dogs to get too, maybe a few more aswell!

I have Sonic Generations on the 3DS, a very good game. I'm surprised it didn't come out on the original Wii. I digress, console versions are usually better so I'm going with the Wii U version.
