#76043 The Other Videos of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

This game will pass the time until we have Smash Bros Wii U. You can't dislike fun, this game looks fun and probably is.

C'mon guys, it's ripping off SMASH BROS here. That alone will make it an absolutely brilliant game.

Besides, it gives us something to play while we wait for SSB4, assuming most of us have PS3s. ^_^

#80915 What are you buying on launch day?

Posted by CaptainFalco311 on 26 May 2012 - 02:00 PM

With the launch of a new console, there's always a flood of games, accessories, hardware, controllers, and just general stuff put out to cash in on day-one buyers. Given that a large percentage of the members of this forum will be buying a Wii U on day one (including myself), I thought this would be a fun thread.

Feel free to copy my format below:

Hardware
  • 1 Wii U (in black, if available)
Software
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (if available); if not available Ghost Recon Online
  • Pikmin 3 (if available)
  • Wii U Play (probably going to be a pack-in title, but whatever)
  • Assassin's Creed III
  • Whatever crazy-good launch titles Nintendo puts out
  • Whatever crazy-good launch titles third parties put out
  • Killer Freaks From Outer Space
Accessories
  • If there's a new Classic Controller they put out, I might pick that up
  • A headset (if the U isn't compatible with my current headset)
Other Stuff
  • A $20 eShop gift card
  • Energy drinks and lots of sweets to keep me awake

#72119 Why do some people dislike the controller?

Because it's different. That's the answer.

#53614 Sony or Microsoft will be done making consoles!

Posted by Joshua on 12 January 2012 - 12:51 AM

Nintendo is already in. (Wii U, duh!)

As for the other two, SONY has the higher chance of going seeing as they have lost loads of cash from the PS3.
So in terms of finance, they are gone.

But, like Aussie (spelt your name like an Australian, using 's') Wingman said, I do believe this is a bunch of hogwash and I doubt any of the 3 will leave next generation.

Am I the only one who thinks this is totally bogus?

Not the only one :)

I can't see either Sony or Microsoft leaving the console market anytime soon. They've both made lots of money from their consoles, even if they have struggled recently, and both companies are big enough to continue for some time despite making losses. I don't really want any of them to stop making consoles, but I wouldn't shed any tears if Sony or Microsoft did.

#53405 Are You Getting the PS Vita?

Posted by AMAC on 11 January 2012 - 01:24 PM

I like how people constantly criticise Sony for a lack of innovation, yet when they come out with the touch pad on the back of the Vita - something which I'd call innovation - it's instantly written off as a gimmick. IMO, it's too early to judge whether it'll be a success or not. I think it's a decent idea, and I expect developers will find some pretty cool uses for it.

I predict the all new Microsoft Handheld.  It will have three analog sticks, a two multitouch 1080p 10 inch screens with one on the front and one on the back, ten axis motion sensing, two volume sliders, two power buttons, and best of all, it will play games in full, amazing, beautiful, fantastic, splendiforus, 4D.

Don't forget the infinite batteries and 100 cores :P

I would think that Microsoft may just make an attempt for a handheld if not I would think that Nintendo is going to REALLY surprise us with some really good innovation.
