Since this is the first triple A Nintendo 1st party release of this year and for some time to come....I wonder how well it will do. Please anwser honestly so we'll see a real reflection.

I'll get the game, there's just a lot of other games I want this year so Pikmin 3 will have to wait until next year for now.

Launch day. Pikmin 3 was the "system seller" for me. One of my favorite Nintendo franchises.

i canceled my pre-order the other day, i'm going to pick it up later cheap, it's only got about eight hours of main gameplay which is rubbish.

Looking at these numbers and comments I wonder how well it will do. Remember that the visitors of theWiiu will be more fans than the casual 8 year old who got his WiiU from his parents. I don't think Nintendo will have a systemseller or blickbuster hit with this one. Which makes me question if Nintendo's focus and time shouldn't have been been spend on building a game that would solid their consumerbase. Sure their should come a Pikmin game in this lifecycle but I wonder if it should have been in the second wave, especially since the first wave was rather weak. I don't like the Nintendo decisionmaking right now, also their Retro choice was odd giving the above context. Anyway, I think I'll enjoy this game but 15-20 hours is pretty short.

I played Pikmin 1 on the GameCube back in the day and although it was intersecting and cute, I never finished it and if I recall, it was the controls which bothered me. Now with the Wiimote and Pad, I think the controls will be great. Also, I do not believe that progress made the day before in the game is erased and I think that is a plus too. So I have decided to pick it up on release day.

I never feel guilty about picking up a Nintendo game on release day. This is because Nintendo games retain their value for so long, meaning it takes so long for them to drop in price so usually for a AAA Nintendo game, it does not make sense for me to wait for a price drop.

Like what, another Mario game? Nintendo should also care for their die-hard fans. Assuming I'm one of them, I am currently fed up with Mario titles and yet they are still plenty of others coming. Not that I don't want Mario Kart or 3D World, but Nintendo should also develop its other franchises which are not oriented towards the casual 8 year old. Looking back at Pikmin 1, I really hope Pikmin 3 is more like it because it really isn't casual at all.

 

By the way, probably midnight release for me.

I voted the second option. Though I'll probably end up getting it within a couple weeks of launch. I haven't played a Pikmin game before, but what I've seen of it, and what I've played (the minigame in Ninty Land) was pretty fun. I'm hoping it'll deliver, as I haven't played any Wii U games for a while. I'm gonna get some more Wii games as well, but I just can't wait to play all these upcoming 1st party titles!

Day 1 for me even though I havent played the others. I see this game not selling worth a crap from all the stuff Ive been hearing people write and Nintendo has put a ton of money into it so yeah.
