#168527 I find your Ubisoft hate childish

Posted by Dough on 07 February 2013 - 08:13 PM

Traslation: I completely understand you but you have to understand one thing. This is not a decission taken by the development team, this comes from really really high up, so please don't pick on the game.

If you're pissed, imagine how we feel. Think on the situation, we've been making overtime with this game practically since May preparing E3, and then almost a demo per month (gamescon, Wii U presentation, shops, eShop, etc...) and at the same time trying to actually finish the game. We had a first delay because it was obvious we couldn't finish on time but we gave it all to be there on February. What face do you think we had when the week we had to close the game we're being told it's not going to be released? I couldn't believe it.

For practical matters, you'll have to wait for some months for the game to be released and will most likely serve for more content to be added and do it better. For us, this means we've spent 6 months barely seeing our wifes, kids, and friends for nothing because, after all, such a haste wasn't needed. Believe it, it was a hell to swallow these news.

Even then I'm firm in what I said back in the day, Rayman Legends is an excellent game and will still be, and the team that's making it doesn't deserve to have your back turned on them just because some men in ties one day took a wrong choice. This industry is really that crappy

#168380 Even Rayman Legends Creator Protesting Wii U Delay

Anyone who thought Rayman Legends was going to stay exclusive has a few screws loose. There are NO exclusive Rayman games in the history of that franchise lol.

#168496 Even Rayman Legends Creator Protesting Wii U Delay

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 07 February 2013 - 07:05 PM

I'll be there day 1. I never played Origins, so firing up the demo for Legends the first time was great fun.

Speaking for myself, I'm mostly upset that Ubisoft waited mere weeks before this game was going to release on Wii U to tell us it's been delayed for 7 months. I really don't care so much that it's no longer exclusive. I think Ubisoft needs to get this game out on Wii U and bring out the other versions in September. The fact we have to wait 7 months for ALL versions to release does suck.

I also wonder if people would've had a milder reaction to this news if the current state of affairs with Nintendo was completely different. With all the constant doom and gloom we keep hearing about Wii U and how it's already a failure, I believe this news, for most, was the straw that broke the camel's back. I think people are tired of all the negativity and this news just pushed most over the edge. I can understand the frustration. It's more common to hear about how Wii U is oh so wrong and a compete failure. It's like for one bit of positive news we hear about Wii U, the next day we hear four bits of negative news. I think today was just a bad day and most will move on and deal with it. Others, sadly, may not.

#157535 Wii U being ruined by 3rd party :(

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 08 January 2013 - 06:48 AM

Your really over dramatizing the situation and obviously don't have the facts. There are only a few games not coming out on Wii U (as said by developers ), even then they didn't say they won't be supporting Wii U, just those games aren't coming. We still have a great 2013 ahead with Rayman, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, and rumored unmentioned titles.

Also we know BioWare has plans, and we are not getting Battlefield 3 because they are working on battlefield 4 . Keep your pants on.

#156761 E3 2013 looks good already

Lol, so people are already hyping themselves up and having unrealistic expectations for next E3? I thought y'all learned your lesson after the insane hype last year? Guess not.

It's human nature to hype up stuff like this. Then when things aren't announced and they're not happy with the presentation they blame the company and start whining and complaining when its their own fault for getting so hyped up in the first place. This happens every year and I doubt its ever going to change.

Nice review. I agree 100%.

One thing i would say about the inevitable sequel is I hope they dont turn it into an action game like Resident Evil or Dead Space.

#139173 Genesis VS. Snes!

Posted by Tricky Sonic on 27 November 2012 - 01:07 PM

Genesis is hands down one of the best consoles of all time. Anyone who says it has nothing to offer beyond 1st party titles ( here's looking at you fire) is crazy or never owned the console. Now I love the SNES, but I grew up a Sega kid. I prefer the Genesis for multiple reasons. While the SNES, has a much more vivid color palette, the Genesis did have superior graphics. Also it had a ton of 3rd party gems. As for multiplatform games...don't get into this argument with me without doing your homework. While there were a lot of multiplatform releases, they generally only shared the name back then and were very different games by different developers. Back in those days the game lineups were far more diverse on a system by system basis than today. With games like Streets of Rage, Sonic, Ristar, Shining Force, and tons more...it was a force to be reckoned with. It's unfortunate that so many people judge it without ever playing it, or by showing blind devotion to one or the other. Growing up in the 80's and 90's...it was Sega or Nintendo.  After the fall of Sega I came to Nintendo and I will always be here...the old days are long gone, but No system will ever get my support as much as the original 2 behemoths of the gaming world.
